The person who Speaks/ replies on the chat (Clark Kent) was a sarcastic prat - when I asked him/her as to the price difference between the regular and Artist Heath Ledger 1/4 scale Joker Edition their response was “Well ask the studio about that as they made the price!”

First off, about payment, they accept 4x payment from my card and/or my paypal, 2nd they have a chat section on their website while browsing your favorites action figures, 3rd COMMUNICATION are topnotch !! 4th and Final, shipping is fast and well protected, they know how to handle business!! One of the nicest model shops I've ever seen, or maybe the nicest ever for the Marvel and DC busts on display. I was really enchanted by the different departments, they are really well organized and the action figures generally have lower prices than in many other shops. The shop is a must if you are a fan of anime and the Marvel/DC world 🦹🏻♂️
I really wanted to like Deriv’store. But the results are not positive. I can only advise against pre-orders. I want to believe in the honesty of the staff, but many aspects make me tick. I'm going to tell you about my experience, which spanned from September 2020 to December 2023. It may be long, but I have to tell you everything so that you understand how mentally and mentally exhausting ordering from them was. almost wiped out my money.
I pre-order in 09/20 for a release scheduled for 11/20. Covid obliges, the delays keep coming. As many have said, you have to email yourself to find out the status of your order. Personally, I have always had quick (1 to 2 days) and polite responses.
But after more than a year of waiting, I tried to cancel my pre-order. I was then told that we would keep 30% of my money. So I abandoned this idea.
It was only in 09/22, 2 years and many emails later, that I learned that the manufacturer had stopped manufacturing. Note that I myself contacted the manufacturer, the latter having explicitly told me that the figurine was already released when Deriv'store still announced a postponed release.
After that, I am asked to, and I quote, “choose another product of the same value” or “a credit to use as I wish”. So no refund.
In 10/22, I placed a pre-order with them again, delivery expected in 12/22. Given the date, you can imagine what happened.
In 04/23, I sent them an email informing them that I saw on the manufacturer's website that the release date was indicated as being 02/8/23 (so already passed). And ? Postponed to May. In June ? Postponed to August.
It was only on 12/3/23 that I sent an email asking, among other things, what was happening or if not, a refund. This email remains unanswered for more than ten days, which surprises me since as I said, I have always received responses VERY quickly.
Finally, I received an email informing me of a planned delivery, without having received a response. The next day, the package was available at a relay point (now in my possession). And that’s what makes me ask myself even more questions! Obviously they had my order, yet I am sure that if I had not sent this email, I would never have received it. As I write, even after shipping and receiving the package, my order appears "awaiting shipment" on the site. If I hadn't sent anything, would they have waited until they could resell it? That I forget my order, my money? It seems too big to me to be a simple coincidence, that ten days after my email, the order that I have been waiting for over a year suddenly arrives if that's not it.
You will tell me, all is well that ends well. But I'll let you imagine how tiring it is to constantly think about it, to have to find the strength to write yet another email to finally get some news. After a while, you even find yourself saying to yourself "at worst, too bad, it's only €70..."
Dear Dérivstore team, you can say that people don't understand the principle of pre-ordering, you can say that suppliers don't warn you of delays, but I think we also need to understand how exhausting it is not to know if you will one day receive what you paid for, if you will be able to be reimbursed or not. The delays are certainly not your fault. But I don't think it's impossible to have a system that classifies pre-orders by "expected arrival date" and notifies you when it has passed so you can find out about a possible delay, before customers are demanding.
I still highlight as a positive point your responsiveness to emails. It's the only thing that kept me going this long. I'm sure you have a magnificent boutique near Strasbourg, but as for your site, it will be without me from now on. Thank you for the figurine and good luck.
